Default ran out of gas now bike runs bad

i guess the reserve gauge does not work right a few miles after it came on i ran out. oh well

however now that i have a gas in it it starts and revs all the way up just fine but when you are crusing with the rpm in one place it feels like it is missfiring or lunging forward just a little bit hope i descibed that well enough.

its an 02 f4i with 26xxx i just bought it a few months ago and changed all the plugs, oil, coolant, clutch, brakes, ect

any advise would be appreciated

Only thing I can think of, is perhaps you put some contaminated gasoline in it. Pour 1/2 bottle of Sea Foam in there.

Clean out the carbs/injectors/throttle bodies. Tanks build up sediment in the bottom which is so fine it doesn't get caught by filters. You've prob picked up some sludge off the bottom of the tank, when you ran it so low.......

if you run your tank low, you run the risk of picking up the junk thats in the bottom of your tank. Most likely your fuel filter or some other thing between your tank and combustion chamber got clogged up a little bit. ...but its most likely your fuel filter

+1 on all the above, although I'd def start at the fuel filter and gas change.

I've had a similar problem. What I did was run it low (after the new yet bad tank), put a fresh tank in, add some fuel stabilizer to see if it was the gas, and then I put a cleaner (can't remember the name, dealer recommended) with the next tank. The problem went away, came back all of a sudden, and is now gone again. I'm assuming that was just the rest of the crap cycling through.

Call them back, ask them to look up honda part #16900-MBG-013 and then keep looking for shops
