ok so i finally got my ram air duct covers by my question is are the bolts used to secure them allen bolts like the fairings? and if so are there some sort of washers i need?

 

The top front and part that screws into the tank are allen key bolts with no washers(There should be a wellnut on the tank for the screw to screw into).
There is also a tab on the side that slips into a groove in the nose cowl and a tab from the side fairing that pops into a groomet on the duct cover.

 

ok how come the allen bolts i got in a kit are not screwing in then?

 

The one in the top front screws into a U-nut that is on a tab on your front nose cowl.
and the one that screws into the tank screws into a wellnut.

My guess is you are missing the nut part for which ever one is not screwing in.
