I just put on a 954 front master cylinder and I'm having some clearance issues. When I go full left lock my SS lines look like they are pinching the throttle cables. I can't rotate the MC to make it fit any better and that metal nub right where the lines connect to on the MC prevents me from adjusting the SS lines to a better position. I figure I could just grind the small metal part off but maybe someone has another way?

Everything works perfect now. I cut the metal nub off and passed the throttle cables behind the SS lines rather than across them (I love dumb fixes).

 

yes, you needed to cut that piece off. I cut it off for my -2 goodridge lines....just used a dremel and it was easy.

 

i have HEL lines and the fitment was good and troubleless. just make sure to bend the aluminium bracket so when holding the bike straight up, the reservoir would stand vertically too..

If the reservoir isn't straight up and down would that effect braking performance?

 

Doubt it. It's only function is to hold extra fluid that may be required from the next squeeze.

 

no,it shouldn't.. just the method of using all the brake fluid... if something bad happens you could get couple more pushes on the brake before you lose brakes i assume.. it's just my will to reach the perfection i guess

 

how good of an upgrade is this?do you have to use SS lines?
