Not sure what the stock cam specs are but thats alot of duration for such a small motor, should do great up top. I hope your planning a dyno session once its broken in?

Yes dyno session and full custom tune is in order once it's done. Probably gonna do 2 maps. One for 93 octane and one for race gas. Two birds with one stone.

Can't wait to see the results! I have a spare f4i motor that needs a rebuild anyways sitting in my garage, depending on what you come up with I might go the aftermarket cam route as well.

The cams are a little pricey but worth the power gains up top. I think they recommend the spring/retainer set also. Can't remember if it's required. I have web cam's number if you need it. I usually order my stuff through APE racing though. Pat over there has been a huge help with this build.

I forgot to ask, did you change the compression at all, either with the pistons, shaving the head or a different head gasket? I've always wondered what it would do for power. We use 87 octane as is, so it should be really easy to bump compression another point or so and use 91 octane instead......

A little update on progress. Timing and degreeing the cams is all finished up. NRC stator cover and stator installed. Got backed up here at the shop so hoping to be able to get the motor in it this weekend if possible. Got plugs, bmc race filter, and some reflect a gold to help keep fuel and air temps down. Hoping by the beginning of next week I'll have a pic to reveal the color of the bike with the motor in it.

Ok here's a peek at the roller. Bodywork is being prepped for paint right now. Not gonna give away the body color just yet. Here's a pic for the time being though. Enjoy.

Well noticed I didn't have all the radiator hoses tonight so ordered them and they should be here at the beginning of the week. Waiting on spark plugs, reflect a gold, BMC race filter and radiator hoses and should be able to get this motor in the bike. Then it's time to begin getting all the wiring done. Waiting to hear back from Chris at DrippinWet.com on some number plates and decals.
