Whats going on guys...
I have a quick question .. my boy just calledme out to a race... its 500 bucks winner takes all ...
He has a 07 harley dynastreet bob, He has some work done on it though.. he just dynod his bike at
a whopping 124 hp ..
my mods .. a 06 f4i with a yosh trs pipe .. and k&n filter...
but b4 the race happens im going to invest on a power commander and 520 conversion..
so what do you guys think ??? will this be a easy win or what???
its going to be a leagal race at the track 1/4 mile track....

Well unless you have done some serious work yourself, the f4i is somewhere between 90-95 hp. Don't quote me on that, but that is what I thought they were running.

You should be quite a bit lighter though. Should be a good race.
It should all come down to the drivers.

Thats what I was thinking .. that bike is like 680 pounds...
my f4i is about 370 ..I think.

 

wut kinda race is it? the normal 1/4 mile run? his bike might beat you off the jump but they might not be good on the long haul. depends on his mods. the 520 conversion will give you a bit more pep off the line and the pc3 will definitely help out in the top end if adjusted right.

after I do the p/c and 520 conversion .. im going to try and dyno just to see where im at...
I already have the k&n filter and yosh pipe ... so will see ...
anymore suggestions on what else I should be looking at doing ????

 

weight reduction.... don't eat for a few days before the race lol. I wouldn't be TOO worried a friend of mine has a HD soft tail with a lot of motor work and his bike doesn't give my F4i much of a challenge.

 

Even though I agree that he "should" win in a quarter mile...he doesn't know his opponent. the O/P "should" beat him off the line however that harley may be have Nitrous, or the driver may be a professional Dragster..... I would suggest never to under estimate your opponent and if it's to good to be true, then it probably is.

No.. nothing like that .. I actually know him, he is a close friend of mine...
He did all kinds of headwork .. after he did all of the stuff he dynoed it and it dynoed at 124..
And I was taking crap about it while he was dynoed then he called me out to a 1/4 mile race for 500 bucks ..
and I took it ... so thats why I was just throwing out here to see what you guys think the outcome is going to be...

 

What is the cc of his bike? 1800? I have been up against some Harleys with 1800's and they are fast, but my 600 still overtook em. The F4i is built for speed and power, and Harley's are not. They're made for cruising. When you are going up against him, try not to pop the front end up on your take off, and make sure you ride your rpms up. Harleys redline at like 4 or 5K and you can run yours up to 13,500. Good luck. IMO racing is not worth it to me. All bikes are fast.

 

You don't got to worry, it's a harley. He wil be lucky if he makes it to the drag stip without parts rattling off! You should have him if you get dynoed AND personalize your pc3 to your bike.
