Default quick fairing question

Hey

I was looking at aftermarket fairings and I saw these fairings that I fell in love with but it is only made for the banana seat f4i and I have the split seat(2001).

Quick question...would I be able to purchase this kit and be able to keep my stock tail section. I don't plan on buying anytime soon but I was just wondering if everything would line up fine (neglecting the fact they are ebay fairings.

Thanks for the input

hm...I think everyone is misunderstanding the question.

I have an 2001 F4i with split seat....The EBAY fairing I want to purchase is only made for the BANANA seat F4i (2004-2007)

can I buy this kit and just use everything but the banana seat since I have the split seat F4i.

I hope this installation isn't going to be a pain in the ***

I bought fairing from "Aumoto" on Ebay and it fits terribly. I'm actually now going to have to look for some OEM parts to replace a couple of the bits. They fit so bad it looks like the fairing is coming off one side of my bike. Had to dremel the holes to make bolts fit etc. I do not recommend buying from them if this is the seller with the fairing you are interested in. Mine is an '01 and the ad stated the fairing was for an '01 but after I bought I realized the pic was for the banana seat. I confirmed it was for the split seat and it was. That same seller may sell it for the split seat, just ask.
