Default Pulsing front brake

I just picked up a 2004 F4i with 19k miles. The front brake lever is pulsing as I brake at speed, I'm guessing it's warped discs. Any recommendations on good aftermarket discs? Honda want £400 for a pair (I'm sure that they are great and I know brakes are really important)

Rotors are expensive but, yeah, they are kind of important...

Before springing for new rotors, I'd check to make sure the rotors are clean. Make sure that there isn't any brake material stuck to the surface.

Thanks, the rotors are clean, I was hoping that someone would recommend some good aftermarket replacements.

Funny, I've heard nothing but horror stories about EBC rotor's. Even a sponsored rider for them on another forum won't run them due to wrap issues from the factory.
Get some good used oem disks instead of aftermarket. They won't be worn. I've got over 94k on mine using them very aggressively at all times [stoplights are brake practice for the track] and they aren't even close to worn.

That's great to hear but my OEM are just 19k old and possibly warped. Buying used sounds risky without a warranty.

Strange that... I warped mine slightly at a similar mileage.... it was after some very spirited riding over an Alpine pass tho so I thought it was me!
Mine was a 2005 and I wonder if we just had a ****ty batch of disk for those years in the UK esp considering 'boredandstroked's' experience and riding style and that Mr H progressively reduced the spec of the UK bikes?

So, I'm curious if you have actually checked the rotors with a dial indicator for runout? Fronts are 0.008" and rears 0.012". How bad are yours?
