Pros and cons of F4i??
hahahhaahhaha!!!!!
This is my second f4i. My first was new in 2001 and now I own a 2006. In between, I owned a CBR954 for 3 years. After putting several miles on it, I went back to the f4i because it's the most comfortable sportbike out there. I sometimes miss the low-end torque of the 954, but the f4i does all things well. Comfortable on longer rides, plenty of power to pass others, great on twisty roads, very nimble, better gas mileage than a 1000cc (40mpg in the city) and it cost less to insure. Even though the f4i is not a focused track bike like the 600RR, it still delivers loads of fun and power on the back roads. I had my choice of any bike to buy and I went back to my old friend the f4i.
Well, second thought, it's as a good a street bike as any.
It's not mental fast, but it's fast enough. I like to think it requires a certain maturity to ride...to realize you don't need a 160-HP liter bike and to also understand that a 600 can go more than fast enough to kill you.
It still remains my favorite bike of all time, and I've had a few.

f4i is a very capable track bike and was one of honda's premier racing bikes in the day!
f4i's are also known as indestructible... and thus used very much for stunting. Not only do they take a beating but have a lower balance point to work with.

...most 600s lack many engine upgrades
if you want a more powerful engine get a gixxer 750 or a liter bike
i'm assuming you're excluding normal stuff like pcIII, exhaust, cams, stiffer valve springs, air filters
bc all of that is available for an F4i

That pretty well nails it. One other point is that given the prices F4i's sell for, they do all this stuff for a heckuva good value. Reliable and cheap to fix. Lots of mods and gimcracks avaialble for it. Does street, track and touring with equal ease, although it's not exceptional in any of those regimes compared to dedicated track and touring bikes.

All that extra power doesnt mean much in the twisty roads and it still is fast enough to put your *** 6 feet under in a nanosecond!
Do I regret getting my f4i? no..its a good all around bike. if i was going to get a new 600, i would look at the gsxr.
I wish my f4i had a gear indicator and turn signals on the mirror, but i can live without them as I barely have time to ride my bike

What are you smoking bro? You actually ridden any of those bikes? Speedwise the difference is minimal at best. The 636 is decent, the r6 is gutless at low revs and the gsxr is.. well a suzuki. People tend to forget that the f4i is NOT the rr's younger brother, but was honda premiere track bike for many years untill the rr came out, even with the first rr's the f4i's were still lighter. I'm not saying the latest and greatest 07+ bikes aren't faster. But I'd put my f4i up against any of the r6 or gixxers from the same year any day.

im not saying the f4i is super slow, but the other bikes are faster. my friends 636 pulls my f4i all the time. i can keep up but his bike is faster, no doubt.
Slow in comparision is a 250. Even if the F4i is slightly slower than the newer 600's I would never classify it as "slow". The difference is negible depending on the rider.
