hey same bike!

ive done some prep work, i filled holes in my rear cowl and a big crack and road rash... i sanded everything down, used plastic epoxy (in a black tube) then sanded the **** out of it, and primered, painted, cleared it... came out really nice, it wasnt hard to do...the crap molds fast so make sure you got it on right

Before:

after, sorry no close pics....

sorry for big pics, just trying to show you how nice it looks afterwards

no its plastic epoxy, i forget the name, it mixes together and you put it on like puddy, and sand it... just as strong as the original part

I've repaired several bikes including my old R6 which I bought years ago in several pieces and redid all the fairings myself. The key to redoing all the fairings and making it look nice is patience. Spraying the paint is the easy part, the hard part is sanding and prep work. Just TAKE UR TIME! I'm actually about to start the prep work for my F4i. I bought it after the prev owner had lowsided. What's taking me so long to start is debating on what color scheme i want to do.

Just ride the thing. If the fairings are falling off repair it but now you have a story to tell other people

Looks like new, good job!! What ring is around your frame sliders? They look like the LSL Sliders but aren't. That ring makes the sliders look really nice especially without space in between the slider and fairing.

Oh and did you use the putty to fill the grab bar holes?

the black ring is actually a tail light housing for a utility bed that i had lying around, i have taken them off and redid a fairing hole. i cut the faring in the wrong spot, and the cover fixed my mistake...

and i just used that epoxy stuff i was talking about earlier... i put ductape on the inside of the hole, and just filled it in... then sanded, and sanded, and sanded, and sanded, and sanded....till it was smooth

i think someguy2 is on to something ill just ride the thing, besides i cover up most of the marks with honda wing stickers
hahah its an easy fix much faster than sanding and prepping not to mention no breathing in the dust and fumes....
