preload tool?

Default preload tool?

my bike came with no toolkit, (WTF?) and i need to know what i can use to adjust the preload on the rear spring. thanks

no it's a special tool, looks like a bar with a "C" at the end of it. if you don't have it, you can use a flat bar to hit the 'squares' where the bar should go...but put cloth over the point of impact so you don't kill it.

I see the tool kits go on ebay for around $30 quite often.
Or you can buy the tools from a dealer, the preload tool is #6 in this pic, it goes for around $11 http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_03...30&parent=5220

that toolkit would add a good 30 cents to the price of the bike. honda couldn't compete with thier bikes marked up like that[sm=alcoholic.gif]
