Default Post your Fender Eliminator kit!!

I'm looking into getting one for my bike but they all cost so much and have so many different styles. I just want to know what styles are out there and what you have and how much you paid for yours. I went to the local honda dealer and they have the universal ones that requires you to cut your mud guard and things like that so i'm not sure i want those kinds. I'm just curious in the styles avaliable for our bikes.

THanks!

My buddy has the hotbodies kit on his red f4i and I gotta say it looks absolutely sic. I like how it has the seperated lights and it looks really clean under there, color matches the bike.

I recently put a Minus One fender eliminator on my 2001 cbr600 F4i. It's not super cheap, but it was a pretty good deal in my opinion once I compared some of the other stuff out there. With shipping and everything it was just under $100 (it was shipped priority mail and got there on a saturday!) I think it looks pretty good, considering those model years you have to relocate the lock and do some cutting. The instructions were pretty good and i'd recomend them. You can look at it HERE. There's a few pics to look at.

That Minus 1 kit looks really nice. How does it illuminate the license plate?

Yeah about that license plate, it doesn't illuminate it. I didn't have a tag light on my old bike either so i've been riding around here (North Carolina) for about two years with no problem. The tailight sitting above it lets some light go onto the plate at night, but that's about it. The kit also came with brackets to mount aftermarket turn signals, i just opted not to use it. I integrated my turn signals the cheaper way.

You can check my photo gallery for a peak at the eliminator I put on my F4i (there's a good picture from the back of the bike). I bought it off of eBay for around $100... but there was a lot of work to be done trying to force it into position - like some plastic/fiberglass parts for sale there, the manufacturing tolerances aren't the greatest. So just be careful what you're ordering.

Also, I didn't like the space provided for the license plate on the eliminator so as you might be able to see, I stuck some LED bolts in the spot where the plate should be. Gives a little more light back there and looks pretty cool. I used a swing arm/axle bracket to mount my license plate - no lights on the plate at all. Got pulled over in Wisconsin last summer cuz the cop couldn't see the plate, but once I pointed it out to him he let me go right away. He asked if it was legal in Michigan (where I live) and I said "Yea as long as it's visible they're OK with it." I was off and riding in no time.
