Pulled out the battery and drilled two holes through the battery box, then put two bolts through to mount the plate.

fiberglass. fits great for an aftermarket part. for lighting you can put blinkers on your license plate bolts(depending where you put your plate), buy a integrated tail-light or integrate your stock one with a trailer tail light converter($10)

Anyone know of a "smoke" colored tailight? I would jump for the clear integrated light if it was darker.

I just took a utility knife to the stock undertail for now... I plan on doing a full custom undertail, but I still need to order the LED strips for the signals/plate light.
damn, that looks really good.

did you cut that while it was installed on your bike, or did you have to take it off?

DBEAU, you can get some spray tint made by Testors (model paint) that you can use to tint a CA taillight. if you take your time, it will look really good, did it with my flushmounts. you can put more or less coats on depending on how dark you want it.

I think clear makes more sense for visibility with signals integrated.
