I think its 1000, 2500, 5000, either way its strict as hell. same law for wheelies. Someone posted it on our local bike forum

I was threatened with it a few times before i moved my plate to a normal spot, its mounted on a cabinet hinge and i can flip it up and down with my foot. its was more of a simplicity reason though, I don't run from cops , the hinge fit perfectly into the band that held my exhaust and it was only a dollar.

I had to put duct tape in the hinge part cause at first the hinge wasn't stiff enough hold up against highway speed winds, I had a paranoid trip down to Orlando, my tag would not stay vertical and I kept getting blacked out chargers behind me.

I lucked out in the wheelie dept. It was October and I was on the last ride of the season when I felt one last wheelie in me before i stored it away. Yanked a moderately sized wheelie and as i pulled it up a cop was right there. He pulled me over andasked for my liscense etc. the cop was in his car for a mere half hour and i definately thought i was getting a ticket. He perred out of his car and approached me and i thought i was getting one. "this is your lucky day, i've searched around and to my knowledge there is no specific ticket for me to write to you doing a wheelie"....."just don't tell you buddies that there isnt a specific ticket for me to write you for doing a wheelie"-nice guy
