I wish there were a better quality one made that looked like this one.
I would have been happier with a plastic one, because the fiberglass is brittle. They said they would paint and then after I bought it, they refused.
And as you said, the fitment sucks underneath by the "middle of the bike" and in the trunk area, but the holes aligned perfectly as did the rest of the "visual" tail from behind.
Apparently I can't spell today.

I just got mine...no problems wih service. He shipped it the day after i ordered it and got it 3 days later across the country. Havent installed it yet though...will do that today.

Installing my undertail now...having trouble getting the lock cylindar out of the original undertail. how does it come out?? (sorry..kind of a newb at this stuff

Um, let me see if I can remember...
disconnect cable
remove bracket at base of lock there
I think there's a clip somewhere to remove
slide out lock from the outside (push from back)
goes in the same way. Just make sure you don't reinstall it backwards (My bad)

near the base of the lock on the inside of the stock undertail there should be a black metal plate, with a black metal bracket that is bent and cut in the shape of a boxy like "C" this is what puts pressure on the lock cylender to keep it in place, pull that thing out using a flathead screwdriver to wedge it back out. then remove the cable and slide it forward (toward the outside) PM me if you need help

Quick question. I have an 06 Blue F4i also. Is there a limit to what kind of undertail to get? All of the ones I found are only for 05's and under. I found one for the 06, but it costs over $200.
