The somewhat flat black paint job I'm going to get rid of and have it plainted black again with a clear coat. Also I'm not sure where he got the decals from but those have to go. My questions is I was going to but grey/silver, chrome or red decals. What would look best you think? I was going to add frame sliders and H7 bubls as well and cut the kickstand as I'm lowering it about 3.5 in. I'm probably going to offer $2220-$2400. For those who haven't seen the post it has 5,000 miles, vance hines pipe, double bubble screen, fender eliminator, some type of flush mount turn signals (not sure what they are called)

I am unsure of the question, which decals? up to you, I wouldnt do chrome, thats just me.

why are you lowering it?

anything under $2400 would be a decent price

you're lowering it _3.5_ inches? that'll bottom it out in parking lots and such! My bike was lowered 1.5 in and it used to bottom out with softer shocks. Total ground clearance is like 8 inches I think...

Hey ampfp according to the manual it says total ground clearance is only a whopping 5.3"! lol..(I had no idea it was that low)If so sonya 3.5" would be way to much.. How tall are you? I am 5'4 and mine is stock height, it was a little scary at first but Im used to it now, riding double is harder but if I were you I would only go a 1" 1.5" tops. Also the paint isn't that bad, I'd keep it the way it is till you get used to, paint job is alot of money and it would suck to go out an drop it. If anyting I'd paint the vent covers a nice red, otherwise looks good enough already.

Good luck winning her....

I'm 5'1, I really don't have a choice. Other girls have lowered there 3-3.5" And they are fine. If its to much I'll drop it 2.5"

Yea you are at a disadvantage! Were the other girls riding a F4i? If not their's may have given them more room to play with. Are you trying to make it were you can flat foot it cause you really don't need to go that far.. By only allowing yourself an inch of clearance your defiantly gonna scrap on any little bump, but if your not an aggressive rider and your just wanting to cruise around at low speeds you'll probably be okay.

Yeah a F4 and a F4i. At a 3.5 in drop I still won't flat foot. I don't go on the freeway. The fastest I will go is 50 mph. I'm not aggressive at all. I got over my friends apartment a lot and there are a lot of speed bumps, should I just avoid them or can I go over them? Should I drop it 3.5 in the back and 1.5 in the front or something like that?

Okay.. well if they aren't having any problem hopefully you won't either. I think why it seems like such a problem for guys is because we weigh more, which causes more compression of the shocks when we go over things like speed bumps, given your 5'1 I would guess you probably don't weigh enough for that to be an issue, like when my girlfriend sits on mine, the shocks don't compress AT ALL, when I sit on it they compress a little. As for speed bumps, try one at a SLOW speed see if you scrape at all, if you can avoid them I would just cause they suck to go over anyways... As for dropping it lower in the back, I wouldn't if your gonna drop it go ahead and do it all the same...thats just me tho.

I'm no fan of lowering a bike at all if it can be helped as it screws with the handling of the bike (this will start WWIV ). But in you case, do the front and rear the same. You dont want to mess the geometery up no more than lowering it does to start with. Lowering the rear more than the front changes the rake of the forks which in turns changes the way the bike steers. If you lower the rear 2.5", lower the front 2.5"

Yeah I'm guessing that is the issue. At 110 lbs I doubt I will mess with the shocks.
