The 03-06 rr feels the same weight and power wise as the f4i does. Ridden them both enough to know it. Have not ridden the 07+ yet.

the best looking cbr600 is looking like the 2009 model.

09??? It weighs more and makes less power then the 07-08's with everything else exactly the same on the bike so how does that make it the best?

Weight: 402.3 lbs w/fuel, 378.1 lbs w/o fuel
this is what motorcycle usa is saying about the 09's weight.
then im seeing 410 for 07-08 on another magazine based website.
i've been digging for a few minutes now and am finding more dry weights than wet weights.

why don't you get an old kawasaki h2 750, its a two stroke tripple and would be awesome on the drag strip.

Well if you are wanting a drag style bike the blade would be a better bike. If you want to do both drag and track then I say just get a 600rr. Just be sure you are actually ready to step up to a bigger bike though. I have seen too many people "say" they are ready for a bigger bike and they haven't even pushed their current bike to it's full potential. There are minor things you can do just to have better times and make your riding experience alot better.
