Default PCIII

found a new PCIII on ebay for $255 plus shipping. only question that i have is that my bike is still completely stock. is it worth buying one to put on a stocker? i do plan to get a slip on in the begining of next spring.

well no... because the point of a PCIII is to re-map your fuel injection and so you can squeeeeeezzzee every bit hp out of your AFTER MARKET pipe... AND your K&N filter... so just get a filter and a pipe and then get a PCIII.... my bike runs great the way it is right now with out the PCIII.. look at my mods in my sigtature.. it ran 101 hp on the dyno! stock is like 95... i am planning on getting a PCIII here soon...

even the stock pc3 map has an altered fuel table. It may not add much as far as max hp but it should definately clean up the mid range and driveability. it seems they lean it out a little in a few key areas. go to dynojet.com and see for yourself. if you are planning on doing future mods then it definately wont be a bad investment.

I have never done an actual dyno, except for the seat of the pants one, and I am extremely impressed with what the PCIII did for me.

if you run it stock, peak power you may get nothing...or VERY little...but your power delivery can be smoothed out...you know, get rid of flat spots, etc...
