PC III, Is it worth it?

RE: PC III, Is it worth it?
If you're willing to custom map it for an additional half grand at the dyno, it'll really make the bike feel better. Else it's your luck. Many people have liked the experience of just by putting a free downloaded map, but my experience so far has been for the worse with downloaded maps

RE: PC III, Is it worth it?
I look at it this way. My bike cost $8000 OTD. To spend $400 on a pipe, 300 on a PCIII and 400 on the dyno, I'm in for about a grand. That is 12% of the cost of the bike. Too much money to throw away for a little improvement. I'd rather keep the $$$ for the next bike or pay 2 1/2 years of insurance.
If you race, then that is another thing, spend what you can, but given the slight powergains, slight drivability improvements, lower gas mileage, and added chance of failures form an add-on ECU, the cost is just too high.

500.00 for a dyno !!!>man those are some steep shops.
THe average dyno ive found is in the 200~250 range..
As far as the pcIII worth it .Oh yea.Better throttle response, better gas mileage(mine averages 45mpg-stock gearing),and over all better power band.
Even if you just keep the stock pipe, and add a pcIII its worth it..In PC,slipon and tune i have less than 700.00
