Default Pair valve...

So before I put everything back together I thought I would check with you guys.

I was reading the "what is the clean air mod on an f4i" thread and I saw its cool to get rid of the pair valve, but NOT the pcv. SO...just to double check, this is the pair valve right?

I plugged 1, 2 and 4 into a tee (#4 is at the bottom of the tee) as seen here:

And just for kicks, here is a new plug next to an old plug. The Plugs I pulled out are NGK IMR9C9H, and I replaced them with NGK IMR9A9H. Was an iridium plug stock in this bike? Or did a Previous owner replace plugs already?

(My main concern for now is the pair valve thing...If I did something to mess with the pcv without knowing it that's what I want to know)

ps sorry for the giant pics

I'm pretty sure these bikes have iridiums from the factory...

Okay, so I just unplugged the pair at the harness. That won't cause any issues? I guess I'll find out...

The hose you have going to the bottom of the T is your PCV.

Is this a race bike? Otherwise I don't understand why ppl keep pulling these off as they don't do anything except inject fresh air into the exhaust. And why wouldn't you put the stock plugs back in when replacing?

I only blocked mine for tune, I re-added it after so my girl would stop smelling like gas etc... Much leaner smell with it enabled.

There are a number of reasons. Stunters do it because it may or may not fix the f4i bog. It also will keep the airbox from getting oil in it if the bike goes down on the left side.

What's the difference between the NGK IMR9A-9H and the NGK IMR9C-9H?

Did you just get rid of the hose that connects at the top right of the pair valve that connects to the back right underside of the airbox? If not what did you do with it?
