Default Paint match

Howdy guys,

Would anyone have any idea what the color/color code would be on the RED F4Is? Meaning, what sort of color RED it is, so I can get an exact match so Im able to get my rear cowl painted? Or would just buying a brand new cowl be the same price?

Gotcbr,

Wow your everywhere!! Haha...but I wen throigh the steps and they do not have the color scheme for the red/black 06 f4i. Just yellow, blue, black, but no red

Nevermind! I got it...I entered a different year and got the red! Or should i say "winning red"

Absurdly overpriced and they don't give you the mix formula.

How else would I get the mix formula? Id like to get my rear cowl painted to match the red stock color.

Mix formulas are a closely guarded secret - highly unlikely any paint manufacturer will give them out.
Overpriced - sure, but when all you sell are original colors which are an exact match for your original paint you should expect to pay a bit more.

Yes they are hard to find sometimes but there are people out there with them. I got a local guy to paint match my candy tahitian blue but it took a month to find him.

And I've read in other forums people complaining that the colors are not a 100% match

Colorrite stocks the OEM colors. Any vehicle of age will fade & wear paint. Painter talent always plays a part w/ matching.

Gotta agree. Here in AZ its a big deal. Just a year or two out in the sun all day will fade the color enough to notice if you get new paint. Thats why paint shops charge the big money, they match and blend things perfectly.
