Overheating, even at night!!!

Overheating, even at night!!!
Ever since I got my 01 f4i, it's been heating up up to 240 after riding for maybe 15 at least. When I start moving it, of course, goes down a little maybe to like 220, then at stop, it goes back up again.
I can hear the radiator fan kickin in but doesn't help much. I replaced the radiator with a new one and put new coolant in and it's still heating up.
I don't abuse the bike at all. I usually never go past 6000 RPM.
I've heard about people getting rid of their overheating problems when they installed a power commander. I'm gonna get one from someone, just waitin for him to remove it from his bike.
What else can I do to fix this problem?

A power commander isnt going to fix your problem. Is the water pump actually doing anything? Is the radiator clogged? Why did you get a new one to begin with? Does it leak at all? Check the headers for any dampness. I would think you could smell it if it was leaking but........are you sure the radiator is full? How about the radiator cap? Is it good? To run THAT hot because of a PC it would have to be running VERY VERY lean. Do you have a pipe on it? Full system? That is about all a PC will do to fix it.........but if it's stock it wont help.

RE: Overheating, even at night!!!
I live in Puerto Rico and the climate is usually between 80F and 98F all year around.
My bike will run between 215-230 everytime, unless is during night or a cloudy day, and i should be on the highway or fast, and it can go down to 180F.
I think this machines are made for speed.. During speeding, they are colder than driving around, slowly on the city... they get HOT!!

I had overheating problems... but I don't any more. Here's whatI did:
1 - flush and fill the coolant
2 - Make sure the electrical system isn't overloaded (ie. get rid of those 100w light bulbs!)
3 - Change the battery (#2 and 3 help the fan run faster and cool more)
4 - clean radiator fins. I just took some cleaner stuff and a soft-bristle toothbrush and got rid of the dirt/stones on the rad. (if a lot of the fins are bent, you might want to find a new one).
5 - change to synthetic oil.
Each of those things had a minor but significant impact in my case - now my bike runs relatively cool and happy, even on the hot summer days.

Sounds to me like your thermostat is stuck closed.

just to let u guys know... bike is actually overheating. it's not the temperature reader that's broken... cuz I can actually feel the heat build up a lot as I ride.
