Default one down, one to go

hello all, this is more of an opinion post, so dont get mad at me and leave a nasty message like "why is this in the f4i forums?". its just my $.02.
I have completed day one of my Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) class and i couldnt have learned more than what i have been tought through this class. tomorrow we will be taking a test over riding and also a written exam. I highly highly recommend this class to anyone who is starting out, or has been riding for several years. It teaches what you have been doing wrong, or what to do to avoid wrongs in the future.
TAKE THE COURSE, BECOME AWARE, SAVE YOUR LIFE!

MSF is the easiest and fastest way to learn the most stuff, but it is a lot like a scuba diving class. With scuba diving, after 20 dives, the ocean teaches you most everything else (and your buddy can help save you from yourself), with motorcycles, the road can maim you before you can learn what else you need to know.

Have fun and be careful.

I'd been riding a while before taking the class and still thought it was REALLY valuable. I'm interested in the advanced class too and will probably take it at some point. In Ohio it was only $25, and a great value at that price. I'd have paid at least $100 for it.

$100 would be great, here in NY I paid $300 for the 3 day MSF class! It was worth it though, I still ride with the techniques I learned from the class, like using BOTH brakes, and how to use my weight to navigate parking lots at slow speeds without dimping the bike. Really good stuff. Plus I got my license without dealing with the DMV! I'd like to take the advanced course before I ever get on a race track. Bike for sale as well--
