Making it run like new my first bike so i wanna Ride without problems and look fresh so im cleaning all fluids and cleaning up fairings

..Fairing lighty scratched
..bike was towed in jan 06 and sat at the junk yard until i just bought it
..tires are still ok
..bike runs decent
..No Frame Damage
..18xxxx miles

From what i see its gonna be fun getting this thing shiny

Bike sat for 6 years almost without being ran or fluids changed man

man i got some work ahead of me but i love doing **** like this i was a honda nissan car guy now im gonna go ahead and use my magic fingers on this beauty

Just curious. How much did you pay? Why did it sit for 6 years? These bikes are solid gold, and tough as a sherman tank, I can't believe no one noticed it in all that time! Have fun with it!

 

I bought it from a junk yard Star Towing San Diego they have lots of bikes that get impounded and then they sell them after no ones gets it out bc they are contracted with san diego PD dont know why it was there tho

i paid 1800 for it

 

Damn, $1800?! I need to do some junkyard shopping.

I'd consider changing the tires since they've been sitting out in the sun and slowly rotting for that many years.

 

im not riding it yet but my boy at honda said they are ok for a few months then i gotta get new ones but yea ill look into good prices for tires out here

idk your tech skills but drain your brake fluids nd bleed em
FRONT AND REAR BREAKS!!!
tires are 200 from motomummy.com for a set of q2's just change em man
drain that fuel out put some fuel injector cleaner for bikes on there Chevron
PRO-GARD about half the bottle if its fuel injected if its carburated pull them out and clean them turn it on and let it sit listen to the revs and idle should be 1500rpms
Chain and Sprocket it sat there you go you should put as much
Coolant flush and new coolant in there flush that ish out real good you dont want no surprises
when you get some$$$ have your fork oil and seals changed
Battery toss that one and get yourself a new one to be on the safe side buddy
BUY SOME GEAR!!!! HELMET GLOVES JACKET BOOTS DONT BE A DUMMY OR A SQUID!!!


there you go thats what i would do thats about another 1k worth of stuff but ride safe and know
your bike isnt going to break down you dont want no surprises in the long run
