Default oil/coolant change

Usually I get it done at stealership. but tired of bringing it in and getting raped on prices

I already have synthetic in it and going to stay with it. I think my bike, a 04 f4i, is supposed to get 10w-40. I just want to confirm that and how many quarts to buy. I assum about 4 should do the trick. Also what is the part number for a good oil filter. Or just a regular fram should be good like whats in my truck. I will prob go with Moibl 1 syn for bikes.

Also going to do my coolant while its apart. I was looking at cyclelogic Engine Ice Coolant. Is this a good one and again, how much of it do i need.

Thanks

You can go with M-108, M-110 Mobil One oil Filter or Purolator Pure One PL14612. Need 3.5 quarts of oil for a change. Engine Ice is fine. A jug should be good especially if it's pre-mixed.

check if your old filter has a bolt head at the end or not. if it's stock you'll need a oil filter wrench
I run a regular prohonda or k&n. 10w40 4 quarts (esp if you change the filter you need more than 3.5)

Maybe it is different year to year or if you are not using the stock size filter but for a 2005 right from the manual on page 202 :after draining and filter oil change 3.5 US qts. That is what I put in 3 days ago with an OEM filter and it brought it right to the top line

Amsoil EA103 with 20w50 amsoil oil.

also for radiator use distilled water and redline water wetter. A gallon of water and a few cap fulls of water wetter will do ya.

Just check the oil level glass while the bike is upright and fill to the middle. K&N oil filters are the best, they come with a 13-14mm bolt connected for easy replacement.
