oil change

Default oil change

Just bought a 2005 CBR 600 F4i with 1,800miles on it.Would like to change oil and filter where can i find a pure one oil filter and what oil should I use. The other thing, is it normal for this bike to shift so loud like a harley ?

Well. It is relatively loud shifting but Not that loud. You dont really hear it when you are moving or you have your helmet on. As for the oil filter not sure. I use Mobil Mx4t. I am personally a fan.

i hear mine shift loud from 1st to 2nd but after that it sounds pretty smooth

i use mobil Mx4t as well w/ oem filters.

My F4i shifts loud from 1st to 2nd. And I use Honda oil and filter. Can be found at your local powersports store

haha it has worked out i guess.. my engine is still turning

10w40 (whatever is cheaper than HP4) and a bosch 3300 (can't remember off hand)

I go with AMSoil 10w40 Motorcycle oil. Currently using an AMSoil filter but I think I'm going to go with the Purolator Pure Onewhen I do my next oil change. Oh yea and from 1st to 2nd it's kind of loud when shifting, all the other gears seem fine and from what I've read and heard this is all normal.

Honda Oil and K&N Filter. Switching to synthetic soon.

I use the PureOne PL14610 (PL14612 fits also) along with Rotella T 15W40 every 1k miles. ~$15-20 each change.
