o2 sensor in midpipe of an 06' F4i?
I am somewhat worried about this... I just ordered a slip on from kneedraggers, is the o2 sensor in the midpipe going to be a problem since i have heard it wasn't there on previous F4i's? on the site, it said it was for an 03'-05' F4i, but the guy on the phone said that it would be ok. i don't think he knows exactly what he was talking about.

First off, good trade, the F4i is a much better bike.
Secondly, I'd just go with a slip on and save some money. For the '06 model though, get the california slip on type because all new '06's have a o2 sensor in the mid pipe.
Lastly, the RR is a fine machine. Just a tad more racy than the F4i, with a few more HP, but they're both very track capable.

ok, this is the one I ordered. Will it fit my bike, or am I going to have to send it back?

bike will not run 'better' without 02 sensor. californians do not need 02 for inspection purposes...there is not bike inspection in cali. you just register it when you buy it...no yearly inspections, etc.
O2 sensor in F4i just tells the ECU to lean out the a/f when you're cruising on the highway, etc. without it, you'll need an O2 simulator so that you do not set off the MIL.
at Wide OPEN THROTTLE, the bike reverts to the MAP programmed...so removing the O2 yields zero benefits, other then TINY WEIGHT SAVING...
i tossed mines with my full system...my MPG sucks...performance would be the same with or without it.

I just talked to kneedraggers, to ask them about this. The guy called micron, and was told that the slip on for the 05' is the same as the one for the 06'. so I'm not going to worry about it unless it doesn't fit or destroys my mpg, which it doesn't sound like its going to do. Thanks for the help guys.
