Default O2 sensor california

how do i know if my bike is a california type f4i? i mean i live in california but am still not sure. Are california types the only one that has the evap canister at the bottom or does every f4i has one.
i looked for an O2 sensor but i cannot find one anywhere.
i asked the previous owner if there was an O2 and all he said was "i dont know i never took it off."

Anyway i do not have the stock exhausts and slip on so im lost here.

if there's an o2 sensor in the exhaust that's hooked up... then CA.

Should be somewhere in your midpipe between the slip on and the actual headers of the bike.

well i just found out my bike had an O2 sensor eliminator. The reason i ask these questions because i hear that removing the O2 sensor will decrease the performance of the bike and lose gas mileage is this true?

the reason for the O2 sensor is so you pass emmissions and not put out as much pollution, supposedly its illegal to not have one but all my neighbors took their sensors off their Harleys and have had no problems. technically its illegal to do any exhuast modifications in CA but **** their laws and the police dont seem to care unless they want to knit-pick you for giving them attitude =P
