Yes. Just got it replaced after the bike had done 11300kms. Bike was 3 months out of warranty and Honda refused to cover it, despite me having mentioned it to the dealer on numerous occasions only to be told 'it will click into the next setting soon and the noise will go away'.

Not happy Jan!!!!

The bike does sound much better for it being replaced though!

THIS THE ANSWER TO THAT PROBLEM..... the nut/bolt thing really won't do to much, it MIGHT quite it a bitbyputting a LITTLE tension onthe interals of the CCTL, but it will be limitedbecause all it will do it tighen up against the back of....i can't explain it, its like spring loaded bolt that keeps the plunger extended...and only extended...there is no way for the Honda CCTL to go in reverse by it self.... So you can either do what I posted up, which in reality i cannot take credit for, or just a manual CCTL like APE.

'it will click into the next setting soon and the noise will go away'.
It does not have clicks for settings, it has an "unlimited" number of setting because of the way it operates...so what the dealer told you was total BS.

Well.. just changed my CCTL for a new OEM unit... Noise is gone... Me happy...
One word of advice though: DO loosen the center bolt before you take the CCTL out... it was a bitch to get that out with the CCTL in my hand. I had to put it under a huge rock and then climb on top of it to hold it steady to be able to get the freaking bolt out.

I would reccomend that anyone who chooses to stick with a stock unit, be it used or new, have the nose and pin on the plunger tack welded....that will prevent the noise from comming back in the future....
