i just found out that my bike does not have stock parts. instead of stock headers, instead i have the lighter yoshimura headers and slip on. i also have a K and N filter and -1 front sprocket. just how much HP am i gaining here can anyone here probably estimate how these parts will effect my gas mileage. the only reason i got a bike was because i wanted to save gas -_-

 

lol.. if you find out that its reducing your average mpg.. wanna sell me those parts?

 

Well if you don't have a speedo healer your mileage is gonna be off on the odometer anyway so tracking your mpg could be difficult. What year is your bike? I don't think the k&n will do anything for performance or mpg, the sprocket might hurt it some, the headers and slip on probably won't hurt mpg much if at all. Does the bike have a power commander, most guys say they lose mileage w/ it?

 

If you run on lower rpm, it will save gas. My gsxr has full exhaust system with 1 down 2 up gearing and my cbr is just slip on. Both bikes will use about the same amount of gas if I ride them the same way. There was a time when I liked going around town in 2nd gear. I used lots of gas doing that. I would say double

 

my cbr is an 02 with no power commander..hmm speedo healer?..im search that up.

 

With no PC you are probably looking around 2 HP gain and with a PC maybe 3-4 HP.As mentioned with the -1 in the front without a speedohealer or SpeedoDRD your Odometer will read you are going faster and farther then you actually are.

 

well i guess i can live with my odometer being off as long as my speedometer is still correct. and since i have no other parts i plan to keep these

 

Both the speedo and odo are off w/ different gearing from stock w/o something like speedohealer to correct it.
