Default no start, timing?

searched the forums couldnt find anything.

my bike will not start, i have changed spark plugs, fuel pressure regulator, plugged in all wires and hoses (no FI light blinking)
when i turn the engine cut off switch on i can hear the fuel pump
it is in neutral
it cranks and sounds like it wants to start but it just does not.
i do not believe it could be the battery because i hook the charger to it and try to start it
is it possible that when i replaced the CCTL that i messed up the timing? when i replaced it i had the rear or front wheel not move at all however maybe i tightened the back bolt a little too far and messed the timing? would that be the reason why my bike will not start?

I don't think you messed up the timing, was the bike starting before you did all the maintenance?

yes it was. it started perfectly before all of this. so i really have no idea what the problem is. forgot to mention the CCTL is an OEM one if that would help.

I think the oem cctl has a pin you have to pull out after it's installed, does that sound familiar?

yes i pulled it and put the bolt in tightened it, thats where i think i have tightened it too much.
also when i push start button it will sometimes get stuck as if your thumb is still pressing down. i never had this problem before.

I think it's pretty hard to tighten that bolt too much, maybe impossible. So you say your FI light isn't coming on when you turn the cut off to the on position? Are all you other lights working and showing up on the dash?

I'd say check your wires and hoses again to make sure they're all plugged in good and take a look at the starter button and kill switch. Check you coils on the spark plugs and make sure they're plugged in too since you changed the plugs.

okay well today i did not even take it apart and just tried starting it after messing with idle **** on the lower left and it did start but still has trouble. i got it starting but the rpm is very low it is barely hanging on. now when i rev it to like 5k the needle drops below 1 and the engine just dies. is there another idle adjustment somewhere or what is the problem here?
