Default New upper fairing is a POS

I ordered a unprinted upper fairing off of eBay because my blinker broke off & it took a chunk out of the fairing.

I got the fairing in and painted it, but after a struggle to install it the piece barley fits! I'm so mad!!!

Do you guys know where I can get a fairing that's actually fits like stock?

I'm lookin for a fairing that:
Fits
Has all mounts are correct
Holes are already threaded

I want the closest thing to OEM as possible.

Any help would be great

I don't believe the fairing has any threaded holes? I believe that all the holes need either wellnuts or U-bolts.

Didn't you try to fit it BEFORE you painted it?

The only thing that fits like stock is stock. Delkevic is the closest and as my recent review thread showed, its not close enough.

cbrfairings.com fit great as well but that is kind of useless now.

Like boredandstroked Delkevic is probably the closest. I had a Delkevic fairing set on my F4i and the fitment was great.

I actually didn't try it on, I was actually to excited about getting everything back together. My fault completely. But I may just bite the bullet and order another one. & the headlight screws into the nose fairing.

Did you add the clip nuts in the front cowl?
Thats what you need to screw the headlight into the front cowl.

I think if you use all delvevic fairings you won't have a problem. Its mixing aftermarket and stock fairings that doesn't work so well.

Just goes to show you why the ebay stuff is so cheap compared to stock stuff... If I would of known my $30 "stock replacement" mirror was made of balsawood I would of just forked out 100 for the real thing

+1 cbrfairings; got a whole set and it's beautiful and just like stock.

For now, though, is your Ebay fairing on and tight? Any reason not to leave it now that it's there?
