New parts rock!!!!
Alrighty, my new Vortex sprockets, DID 525 VM2 gold chain, and chain tool finally came in today!!! I was happier than poo. Had to order a RK chain tool as the company that I ordered from was back ordered until the end of March and it was 70 bones cheaper to boot. I went stock on the front sprocket, and +3 in the rear. What a difference. It goes off the line like a raped ape. I posted pic's in my Photo album here on the page. This winter I also scraped many of the stock decals cause I didn't like em. I am back on the road... watch out.
Heres my picks.
2004 CBR600F4i
49T Vortex Rear Sprocket
16T Vortex Front Sprocket
525x110 DID VM2 Gold Chain

RE: New parts rock!!!!
It's like gearing on a car.....depending on what you do....
If you want faster take off, then you'll end up taking away from your top speed (with a numerically higher final gear ratio). Also less MPG since the engine will be turning at higher RPMs
or
If you want a higher top speed, then you'll end up taking off slower off the line (with a numerically lower final gear ratio). Better MPG since the engine will be turning at lower RPMs
It all depends on what you're looking for, since each one has a trade off. Also it will throw your Speedometer or Odometer off.
Just did a gear swap on my '05 Dakota....went from 3.55 gears to 4.10 gears....so I know how it works.
