Default new owner of silver 01 cbr600f4i

Hey, how's it going out there f4i owners, just picked up my 01 f4i this afternoon in Oklahoma (Fort sill to be exact), no issues mechanically as far as I can tell did prefectly fine on the highway on the way home from Southeast OK. Just need to replace the tail fairing and upper fairing. Also need to fix the latch for the rear seat and throw a passenger peg on for the wife. All in all,I think it was a steal for $1800. It does have 44k miles on it, but I was reading on a quite a few forums that these engines run forever as long as you keep up with regular and yearly maintenance.

Dang that is a steal! Make sure ya go over everything mechanically or have a mechanic check it out! 44k ain't squat for an F4i, I look forward to having that much on my bike. Enjoy! These bikes are awesome!

Ya I'm having a guy I know look at it this weekend, i looked for the common problems of the f4i already, sound and glances wise, and all seem to be good, can't attach a pic yet, guessing forum limitations? I'll put it on my drop box later today.

Pic actually worked 1 out of 4 tries for me, weird.

Anyway NICE find, OP. In regards to the passenger pegs for your wife, I'm sure you'll find the F4i very capable at 2-up handling, and not incredibly uncomfortable once you/she builds up an endurance. My wife and I are good for 3hrs at a time since I picked up my 02 last fall.

Here's a link for the pic, I dunno why it won't show.

Singram: Thanks, and ya its going to take a bit because she's never even been on a bike but I want to teach her later down the road but get her used to it in the first place.

Tonggi: he said he only put about 10k miles on it in the past few years. I did Carfax the Vin and I would be owner number 5 from 3 different states. So, she's be around but still strong as ever.

1 thing I did notice that I'm not going to need to get anymore is it's got frame sliders already, didn't even notice them to begin with. Btw, it's in my living room because I'm waiting for this alarm system I ordered to come in.
