NEW MOD!!! SHAVE ALMOST 100LBS!
So I'm trying a new mod today that shaved almost 100lbs off of the bikes weight! I just can't get out to ride yet because it's raining but I'll let you know how it goes! Tell me how you think it looks?
Here it is!!!!

Ok ok I'm a big fat liar I just put some PP's on the bike, now for it to freakin stop raining so I can tear up the roads!

Very nice... and shiny too![:-] Get some sandpaper and scrub some of that **** off before you go riding, especially if it's wet out you'll be sliding all over the place. I'm gonna get a new PP rear this week sometime... never tried them before! I just put one on the front about a month ago so getting the rear to match
Be careful... trust me I learned the hard way first time I replaced the rear tire... wasn't pretty

dont use sandpaper :P lol
just take it slow for about 50-100 km's and slowly work your way over onto the sides, once they're up to temperature a couple of times they're good to go.

I just noticed how many miles are on your bike, holy ****!
Be really careful when you've got your bike in gear on the stands... if anything gets sucked into that chain (fingers, shirt sleeve etc) it will **** you right up!
I guess sandpaper will be effective, but then you probably take off more than necessary, I've gone through my share of tires and have never wiped out, in fact I just got Metzeler M3's installed and on my way home from the dealership I was already wearing off my chicken strips... They just have to be heated up and ridden smoothly (no diving into corners really fast)

+1 for the sandpaper. I've said it before too (and argued it), sandpaper workslike a champ!Lightly sand the entire surface of the tire, and you really won't have to worry about sliding all over the place. I've done it to the Qualifier's I have and I didn't once encounter that "slippery new tire feel."
once the tires are warm they'll stick all the way to the edge of the tire (assuming decent traction, aka not wet) just don't trail brake right away or abruptly accelerate/decelerate mid-corner
realistically you'd need more than sandpaper to actually scrub the release compound or whatever the hell they call it, unless you spend an hour scrubbing away but then you could have been out riding instead
