what you really need to do is either take apart the ignition, or take apart the trunk lock mech, on the tumber is a stamped number, with that number you can order another key from Honda....

To my knowledge a new one cannot be cut from a hardware store, not to mention the keys are of poor quality and damage the locks (lots of ones i have had done, will open a door, but not start it, or start it but wont unlock the doors)

Also have a look through your manual, if the owner was dilligent there is a place to write the key code down in the book (a lil metal tag comes with the original keys and has the key code on it)

i have one key also, installed a Fender elim. and while i was @ it wrote down the code...... just havent got the key yet....

a key can be made at a regular store with just that key and no id numbers or anything- just as long as you trust their craftsmanship

I just had one made at a keysmith down the street after having given him the ignition module only.

Cost was $15.
