Ok so this weekend i went out to cycle gear and saw some grips i really like. Took old ones of put on the new ones and did everything it said and gave it a day to dry. But the dont srick like the move around and is very annoying on my throttle hand and have to keep adjusting it. Just wondering if their is any glue i can buy or anything. let me know thanks.

Safety wire the grips on. Granted I've never really had any problems with grips sliding until I started using grip heaters under the grips.

wut kind of grips did you get? i got a pair for ProGrips and they work fine. i didn't even let them try for a day... just 15 minutes and i was good to ride. did you use anything to slip them on/off? try windex to slip off/on again maybe that mite bring back that adhesive or wutever is leftover on the handlebar

 

Did you use any grip glue at all the first time you tried to install them? I know you said you gave it a day to dry, but I wasn't sure if there was any glue involved or if you were letting something you used to slip them on dry. Make sure the throttle tube is clean when you put them on, and yes there is grip glue, some are even brand specific because of the rubber compunds they use in the grips. Spraypaint also works as a type of grip glue as well, just make sure the throttle tube is clean and give it a little shot of spraypaintinside the grip and slide her on! Safety wire will also help them stay put like traitorhound suggested, and will be pretty easy to do...especially if you know someone with a pair of the handy safety wire pliers!

ya agreed use hairspray then grip glue. grip glue is very fun to use lol, goes on very easy with the glue but a pain in the *** if you ever have to take it off

 

yep, i had the same problem..a little hairspray took care of that..and you dont have to sit and watch it dry for a day..i was off and riding again in like 20 minutes..and it stuck just fine.

 

Thanks will try hair spray tonight. And yes i like the cycle gear buy me. Met a couple guys in thier and are pretty good friends thinking about getting a second job thier to help pay for future mods. thanks for the help guys.
