First off, welcome to the board, second
Here is your free fix for that cable problem...get a coat hanger and bend it to shape and take out the clipon bolt and slide the hanger end over the bolt, then tighten back down, i put some black marker over it and it looks factory...and it gets rid of that problem of not seeing the odometer
here is a few pics if they help you out any

+1 on the coat hanger trick. The clutch cable was always a pain to look around, i finally got around to trying the coat hanger. Makes a big difference, plus it's free. Too bad mine is still white.....i'll get around to getting a sharpie later.
By the way, nice bike and welcome to the forum.

I haven't rode it for like the last 6 months or so. Solenoid went bad and i haven't replaced it yet, but despite the rust, dents, and overall. . plain rough look, the engine on that thing runs strong as hell

Welcome F4I Brother. You will be glad you got yellow because they will see you coming down the road and its faster than blue. Oh its simple to move your licence plate up 5 or 6 inches then cut the fender. Oh CLEAN THE GARAGE ! LOL !
