Default new F sport

just got myself a new F-sport today and it's great fun to ride but it seems very revvy especially coming from a firestorm/superhawk. i'm doing 60mph in top gear and it's showing 5000rpm. is that normal? thanks

No, that is much lower gearing. You can play around on this site to determine where it should be vs. where it is - https://www.gearingcommander.com/

i thought so. glad to hear it actually! i dont think i could live with it otherwise. the chain and sprockets are fairly new at the mo, but i'll go back to standard when they need replacing. thanks for the info.

Happy to help!

I moved down a tooth on the front sprocket when I changed them over the winter and was pleased with the quicker pick-up but the higher revs are noticeable on the highway. One of the interesting side effects is that in 6th gear, my rpms and speed line up almost perfectly from 4-7k, i.e. at 4k my speedo is 44, at 5k it is 55, etc.

Ummm that sounds pretty normal to me. 4k is 50mph. 60mph at 5k rpm would mean at 14k rpm you'd be doing about 150mph. This is stock 16/46 gearing that is standard on all US models and Sport model in Europe.

Awesome!

My knees are the first part to start complaining as well! Being... uh, mature (lol), there is always some way that my body reminds I'm not young anymore... even if my mind strongly disagrees!
