Default New Chain

i got my -1/+2 sprockets in the mail, which is the set up i already have, theyre just gettin worn down, my question is which chains can i get to go with them?

i know alot of ppl do the 520, but i really dont care about the extra weight, and id rather have the extra durability and have the chain last longer, so what do i get? a 525?
is that all i need to know, to just get a 525 chain? or is there other specifications i need to know about?
also, i was going to go with RK because thats what i beileve i have now, but what are some other suggestions?

525 is stock. I have an RK chain and it has been fine, the stock chain is D.I.D. Either one of those will work for you.

Don't forget to get your speedohealer to recalibrate your speedometer.

I'm pretty sure you need a specific size chain to go with a specific size sprocket. IE there are 520 size sprockets, 525, etc... I'd assume there'd be too much wiggle room if you used a thin sprocket with a larger chain.

Usually you get them in a kit. Sprockets and chain.

Don't mix sizes!!! If you just got your sprockets, you need a chain that is the same pitch (520, 525) If you want to change the size say back to the stock 525, or even the 530 that the liter bike use, then get the "kit". Or just get a chain to match the new sprockets you already have.

so...
since i already have the -1/+2 vortex sprockets, i need to buy any 520 chain?

or are you saying that regardless of how many teeth, the sprockets also have a size (i.e. 520, 525)
so a -1/+2 sprocket set can be 520 or 525, etc?

^Correct. I have a -1 on a 525 chain.

The sprocket packaging should say if it's 525 or 520, or you could look up part numbers.

That is exactly what I'm sayin...the whole -/+ thing is the amount of teeth on the sprocket, well actually its the amount different from stock. so -1 in the front means there is 15 teeth (cause they come from the factory with 16). The 520/525/530 is the "pitch" of the chain, not too sure exactly what "pitch" means. could be the width, or distance between rollers, all I know is if you mix/match 520 sprockets and a 525 chain (or vice-versa) BAD things will happen.
