Default New bike, need some stuff

Ok well this week Im picking up a 2002 CBR600F4i. It needs a new tire, so Im here for you guys to recommend me a decent tire. This is my first sport bike, I have ridden dirt bikes, and dual sport bikes(yes, on the road).

Im also in the market for a decent(but not expensive) helmet, and a jacket. I see there are so many, and I realize that most of it is user preference, but I know there are at least "good brands", so I wanted to get your opinions.(Like I know shoei makes good helmets, but I cannot afford one that expensive at this time)

Looking into MSF Rider course soon as well.

Hey Dev...welcome! Okay, so you'll get so many subjective answers that it will make your head spin. Here's what I can recommend. For tires, it seems like everyone is fond of Michelin Pilot Powers. Other good tires are Pirelli Diablos, and Bridgestone Battlaxes. As far as a helmet goes, A KBC is an excellent choice. Quality construction with budget pricing. Good luck.

Anywhere in specific you look for cheap stuff(tires, helmets) online?

Ive been looking at motorcycle-superstore.com, they have decent prices it seems like.

My thoughts on helmets are there are expensive and cheap. Expensive helmets are usually lighter and the vents and sheild work easier. Cheaper helmets may not hold together when you need them andthe vents and stuff 'feel' cheap. I have a new Shoei and a HJC, the HJC is definitely not as nice.
