Need tires...Diablos?
I'm going to be needing new tires. Any recommendations? I'm thinking about the Diablo's they have on cyclegear.com. They have a package deal for both front and rear for about $170 plus shipping.

What do you think? Good deal?

I put these tires on last time they had this sale.....I've put about 5k miles on with them and I've been very happy. They seem to be wearing well. Good street characteristics and still pretty sticky.....Well worth $170. I may buy another set and keep em till I need them

I use to run those, they do fine as long as your not really heating them up or asking alot of them. I even did a track school last year at mid-ohio on them.
but I noticed that as i started to learn how to drive out of corners harder, they started slipping just a little, then once I learned to get my knee all the way on the ground, well...lets just sayI found the limits of those tires by that afternoon.

wow...you guys must be awesome riders and pushing these tires to their limits.
i tracked these on over 100 degree days at buttonwillow and they stuck like glue still...
i also think these tires have amazing warm up times...
i think throttle control is the culprit here.
never depend on tires, bike, etc. to cover up rider input.

are you sure we are talking about the same tire? were not talking DCIII, but the regular old Diablo. at least those are the one's I am referring to that Cyclegear sells on the big sale.
throttle control is normally a culprit. I agree. however, if you can drive out of a corner harder with a set of DCIII's and a set of regular Diablo's will slip, then its the tire.but,if I am driving out of a corner pretty hard, and the bike isnt leaned over that much, you shouldnt be slippin. and I was.
