Unhappy Need some help with signal and relay understanding

Hi there everyone just need some help with my signals.I baught a 2001 cbr 600 f4i of a stunter.Im having a hell of a time with the signals.when i turn the key the running light comes on the front signals and the back signals are off.The running light works as well as the brake light in the back but nothing on the rear signals. Now when i activated the left signal it just turns off[doesnt blink] same with the right side.I looked for a relay and i couldnt find one as well a headlamp relay[both are suposed to be between the head lights]So i was wondering if some who has a lot of experince with the signal light wireing if the could walk me throught the colour and wire leaveing the signal switch and where it needs to go and where the relay comes in to effect.I hopeing with you help i can just wire in an relay and jump in the rear signals and ride my bike in to the sun set!!!!!!!! lol

Started with the basics, I assume and changed all of the lamps?
If so, start at the tail-light and start tracing them back.
Look for shorts/damaged/frayed wiring.

Also, you can run a hot to the connector for the rear tail-lights.
Verify that it isn't the light assembly that is defective.

Dis-assemble and clean the contacts on the left-bar switch assembly.
Re-pack with di-electric grease and then re-assemble.
Use a continuity check, to verify the switch works correctly at the connector.

Odds are it's a loose connection. So pulling, cleaning and grease packing,
all of the connections in the entire harness, is not a wasted effort.

Do a search and download the manual.
Reference the wiring diagrams will help enormously.

Hope some of this helps, Ern

Default Thanks for the help

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the signal lights will not flash with out a relay?if so where does the relay come in to the wiring after or before? And what colour wires run from and to it?iv traced wires but wires have been added and removed and jumped on the bike.my tail lights work running and brake and liceance plate light are fine. My problem is no power to the tail lights and no relay for the signal spit will flash. What I would like to do is figure out the wiring schem and install a relay and add to the rear.Im pretty handy but never took a course in small electronics.i guess worst case I will buy a aftermarket signal kit and add it to the bike.but that's last resort
Thanks again for your reply
