Default mystery hose question

hey i was looking under my tank while getting ready for some maintenance and i found this hose connected to the engine but there is either something stuck in the other end to plug it, or whatever it was connected to broke off and the end is still in the hose! it is the left of the two hoses in this picture from the manual:

however i can't find in the manual what those hoses are or what they are for. i assume it has been this way for about 2.5 years now since that's how long i've had the bike and just now noticed it.

any ideas what the hose is called and what it is for? thanks!

goes to the airbox, of that im sure...but i think the nipples they connect to on the airbox are just "dead-ends"...like blocked off. get it?

Its either a vaccum line or an AIR injection line.

Yeah I think its an airbox vacuum line. This is one of the lines that gets plugged when you do the Clean Air Mod, so it having been disconnected wouldn't have caused any damage or affected performance.

im telling you, im pretty sure they are connected to blocked off nipples on the airbox..meaning they are already "blocked off" in a sense.

That doesn't make alot of sence. If they didn't need them to be doing anything from the factory they just wouldn't have the hoses and the port in the engine that its connected to wouldn't be cast to begin with.

The two small hoses that are connected to "blocked nipples" on the airbox are for vacuum lines for the process of syncing the throttle bodies with the proper sync gauges.

If left disconnected they will create a huge vacuum leak causing a really high idle. I know because i always realize i forget to reconnect them until she starts up after reassembly.
