Just picked up a candy red/silver 05 F4i about 5 months ago, and i miss riding it terribly. I just started to get some **** for it and was wondering some opinions on other things. I just picked up some flush mount turn signals, smoke windscreen, and im looking for an exhaust to get soon. My two buddies have yoshi's, i like yoshi alot but i want something a little different.... i was looking at getting a D&D exhaust cause there kinda like the SLP exhaust for bikes. I was wondering if anybody had other suggestions on similiar exhaust to the yoshi and D&D..... also looking for a good looking undertail kit for hopefully around $200 painted, let me know......

 

well it all depeneds on how loud you want the bike to be. if you really want to stand out, and be heard D&D is def. the way to go speaking sinse they make the loudest pipes. But with loudness doesnt nessesarily mean good sound. Yoshi is a respectable company, but have never heard their pipe on a F4i so i couldnt give advice for that exhaust. I currently have a Two Bros slip on, and i tell you what its as loud as anyone would need it to be, it has a very deep tone, and every person i have riden with has told me they love the sound of my bike. But if you wanna go expensive and probably alittle bit more power go akrapovic. They are proabably the leaders in making good quality street-race pipes. and with this you can save alittle bit more money and buy the whole exhaust system, its expensive but im sure you would never be disappointed.

 

Remus is cool and has a nice sound (abit loud)

 

I stayed away from the D&D as well because members on here said there ears were ringing after riding. I wanted a different sound and louder, but not that. I ordered the Yoshi RS5 Carbon Cone. I'll take pictures of the install and let you know how it turns out.

 

I have a leo vince carbon fiber slip-on and I love the sound of it.

 

Which ever pipe you choose, try to budget in a PC3. You'll get better performance, and usually a deeper sound due to the richer fuel mixture. Good luck.

 

two bro's makes the best pipe for your bike. The sound is awesome. Get the two bro's and your bike will sound like no other, in a great way. You will be very happy with it.

 

I have the same exact bike, same color and year.

I added a dark smoke double-bubble screen, tire hugger, dropped one tooth from the front sprocket and added 1 tooth to the rear(aluminum), Yosh TRS carbon-fiber slipon, Dynojet III USB and a Speedohealer.

Had the bike tuned on a Factory Pro Dyno and it is spanking down about 100HP to the rear wheel now.

The Yosh pipe sounds awesome.

 

Can't compare to too many slip ons, but the 2Bros sounds awesome on mine! Definitely recommend!

 

I have the Yosh TRS just like the one in the pic (someone else on the forums bike) on my silver '05. Kinda quiet at idle but a real nice sound (not too loud) once you get on it. And I really like the shape of the pipe compared to stock.
