So i finally got around to installing the HID kit i bought about a month ago. I must say i am very very happy with the results. I just got to ride in the dark, and they are incredible. A must have for anyone who rides in an area with lots of critters (deer, coons, skunks, rabbits, etc...) here are some pics

here is the comparison of stock vs upgrade. they are 6000k btw keep in the mind the left is "High beam" and the right is the new low beam




Here is where i chose to mount the ballasts. seems to work alright. Same "shelf" that others used, and then i kind of hovered the other one above it

all in all i must admit the install was much easier than i anticipated. i would definately recommend this mod, safety first (and the look tight!)

Awsome dude... looks great!! HID's are the shizzle... you can see EVERYTHING!! I had the 6000K on mine but recently got a new 4300K kit since the other ones were giving me alot of problems (randomly shutting off... not good!). I got the 4300K for a little more light output, but I love the color of the 6000K!

Nice job on the install.... that's the hardest part of the whole job is trying to hide those damn ballasts and ignitors[:@]

Looks great. That's definitely the next mod on my list. Thanks for the pointer on hiding those ballasts, I was wondering where I should store them.

 

Very nice! Been thinking about a set but I don't do much night driving, if I did more I would be more serious about it.
