Default My F4i Mods

So, guess I'm the newest newb here and I figure its time I show my face. Just picked up a downed 2002 F4i for cheap from a buddy of mine and have a few plans for it.

-possible 600rr subframe, tail cowl, seats, tail lights
-gsx-r 750 two bro's exhaust
-new black and silver fairings
-black tail and tank.

Been on here a few days just looking and I've noticed the majority of the people here ride more than mod, so hopefully this might spark some thoughts. I plan on splicing subframes...ie, using the F4i subframe to frame mounts, cutting the front mounts off of the 600rr subframe, and splicing the F4i mounts on. I'm not 100% positive I have to do that, but from the pictures I've been looking through, there isn't a year where the subframes have the same mounting pattern. If anyone knows different, I'd be glad to hear it. Anyways, I'll have pictures up later on today. Still busy changing fluids and pulling fairings off and such.

Why make the bike RR like? I'd spend effort to make it unique instead...

Bikes are meant to ridden not looked at in front of the local Hooters. To me mods are things you do after you wrecked/wear outthe original parts on your bike or to replace the orginal parts that don't fit your riding style.

Welcome to the site, good luck on your project.

Alright, sorry its taken so long to get these pictures up, but I decided against the undertail exhaust and put a GSX-R750 Two Brothers on. A bit of welding and grinding and here she is. I still have to replace the side fairings, but they're in the mail. I'd still like to make the tail thinnner, but we'll see how it goes.

How I got it a few weeks ago:

Tail on the left side:

New exhaust:

I plan on sanding and painting the muffler flat black. More when I'm done with that.

How is it held on you mean? Its still not finished, I need to install the other clamp onto the foot peg.

I like the way it looks and it sounds great too. Guess you're right, to each his own.
