It's not in the same location as this, but I chopped my RR exhaust down pretty short. There was a noticeable decrease in bottom end power, but lets be honest it's a sport bike. The sound is pretty mean, too.

On a side note, if anyone is interested in making one of these I have an akrapovic CF slip on with stainless mid pipe for sale. I'll let it go cheap [/spam]

@Zurky: Do you mean other than the CBR 600 you can hear it on in the first post? I don't have a sound clip of it on a FI bike yet, but sooooon. I wanna hear it on a big bike, I'm not gonna lie. It sounded loud and bad *** on a v-twin Aprilia RSV. I also need to make some for my V-Max.

I'm experimenting and testing an intelligent led lighting system INSIDE the tip that will flash every two revolutions of the engine...but for now it is just dumb light. Heat testing is the biggest thing as to whether this feature stays or goes. So far it has held up great during my daily riding, but I found a guy who instructs track racing here and he's going to try his best to make the lighting fail. R&D is so much fun. I also installed a tail light from an R1. I love it.

Here is the same mod (without lighting) on my friends bike, only I color matched the silencer to match the grey flake, flat black, and gold accents of his R6 now.

So I'm building new slip-ons for my custom V-Max. These have perforated end caps on a 2"-3.5" megaphone and are nick-named "Gunner".
