02cbr... you need to get some pics of those gixxer mirrors once you get 'em on your bike

anyway, I ordered my cf mirrors and adapters last friday... so hopefully they'll be here by next friday (I guess solomotoparts sometimes takes like 4 days to process orders).
I def will. I had the CF mirrors on my bike and they looked really sweet (till my buddy was moving my bike in his driveway, slipped on a wet leaf, and dropped her on the right side breaking a pretty much brand new mirror!) If its the same type I had...they look really slick....the only downside is that it makes it cuts the visibility down by about 50%. But I could see more out of the CF mirrors than the ones I have now...hence why Im getting the gixxer ones.

The first picture is of CF mirrors I had and the other two are of the ones I have now. I wired the mirrors to stay on as running lights as well for extra visibility at night.

I never heard of solomotoparts.com before..but after browsing for a couple of minutes I noticed they have some great prices and lots of stuff for our bikes!! I can deal with waiting a couple of extra days for good prices like that!!

Can you run single post mirrors on a double post (f4i) anyways? Just screw it into one hole? Or is the adapter necessary? Also does anyone have pics of the "Formular Race" carbon fiber version on their bike?

I had to drill the two slots in the V-stay fairing (that the stock mirror bolts into) out with a larger bit to make them fit. Then I went to the home depot and matched the correct nut size with the new gixxer mirrors and installed. I did also drill out the nose cone a tad to make the mirror sit flush. Since the 07 gixxer mirrors i have dont rotate up and down....I removed the mirror itself from the arm. Then I used a grinder to flatten out the arm peice which had a groove in it originally. Reinstalled the mirror with only one screw so now they can rotate the way I need them to. I will get some picts and video up tom when I get out of work.

hey 02, where did you get those dual/single post mirror adapters? I ordered the LP ones, but they don't fit the bike...

I have the same question..looks like your adapters are perfect for the bike whereas these LP ones won't work.
