just curious what year bike you have and how many miles. i have an '01 that i bought 3 weeks ago and i ALREADY put 1k miles on it. idk, i think thats alot!!!! i bought it w/ 4600 and i clicked 5600 yesterday. its almost all just cruising around, since i only live 5mins from work. is that alot of miles for an '01? and i know that w/ most CARS you will begin having problems around 100,000 miles. w/ bikes, what is the mileage you begin to have problems?

 

I just got my f4i about a month ago with 6000 mi and it now has 7200 mi. I drive it everywhere tho with the way gas prices are. Takes me a bout 30min to get to work as well. These bikes will run for a long time depending on how hard you are on them. Most problems with a high mileage bike is that it has had alot of different owners and have been ran to ****. Mine was owned by a 40 yr old guy who bought it brand new with one mile on it... it had all service records and all that jazz.

 

i an 06 and i have 7400 miles on it now. that is becase of my trip to bike week this year. but i also ride my bike alot.[sm=gears.gif]

 

I ride my bike is spurts depending on femail activity. Since I've been dating my new girlfriend i've put almost 100miles a day on the bike hehe

 

mine was a month old last thursday and i have 2400 miles on it. my buddy has a 2000 with 17000 miles.these hings will last forever if you treat them right

But yea, I bought my '04 brand new with 3 milesa little over 2.5 years ago (10-17-04, right about when the '05s were coming out). It's at 89,233 as of now. I like to ride alot too! [:-] Just goes to show though, these things WILL last, no doubt! Mine is still running like she did at day 1

haha wow, so my mileage is LOW! glad to hear these things last!

 

I bought mine in Dec. it had 6200 miles on it,, just went and checked,,8130.. Wow, They rack up pretty quick when your having fun!!

 

^ you can say that again. i had no idea i had put 1k miles on it. i've just been leaving work and hitting some back roads to improve my turning and judging them before i get to them. and on my way to work today i happened to glance at it and i put 1k on it. well, i'll treat it good and hopefully it'll return the favor and be good to me. i've got a new addiction and i want it to last, lol.
