Default Might get a F4i. What to look for?

Hi, Im new on this part of the forum. I had a 98 CBR600SE but I sold it to get a CRF450. Now I want another bike. I am considering the F4i this time. I think they look alot better. AndI like the fuel injection. My questions:

Are there any known problems with these? If so, are they associated with a certain year?

When I go look at one, is there anything in particular to look for?

Thanks for any help.

The only known problem I can think of is the rattling sound associated with the CCT. You'll hear it at around 5000 rpm. Sounds like bb's in a tin can almost.

Ok, cool. The F3s had this too. My old one had a bad CCT.

It's not a cct, and its not that big of a deal. You'll be happy with an f4i

F4i is a great bike.... you can't go wrong! The CCT issue can be fixed with an APE manual tensioner (not that expensive), and that's really about the only thing. F4i's are pretty much bulletproof otherwise. Go for it!

L = Lifter! and it's not a problem, it's just annoying and this isn't the only bike with the annoyance.

The only problem I had with my F4i's is putting gas every 150 miles or so..

YOu wont be dissapointed in them.

One thing to look at is there Coolant in the overflow bottle. To make sure the loose hose clap problem is take care of. You might want to question the owner if he had any problems with keep coolant in the bike.
